The Exim Bank 24th National Men’s Handball Championship advanced to the quarterfinal stage at the Shaheed (Captain) M Mansur Ali National Handball Stadium here on Monday.
In the quarterfinals on Tuesday, Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) will play Kushtia DSA at 9am; Bangladesh Police will meet Madaripur DSA at 10:30 am; Bangladesh Ansar will face Gopalganj at 2:30 pm; and Chapainawabganj will take on Chittagong at 4 pm at the same venue.
In the Monday’s matches, Chittagong crushed Sylhet by 30-6 goals; Bandarban outclassed Patuakhali 25-8; Rajshahi beat Naogaon 17-12; Madaripur trounced Feni 38-5; Kushtia defeated Comilla 27-12; BGB outclassed Mymensingh 34-11; Bangladesh Police crushed Bagerhat 43-4; Gazipur beat Chuadanga 23-13; Bangladesh Ansar defeated Jessore 30-17: Jhalakati outclassed Jamalpur 12-2; and Rangamati beat Panchagrah 27-17 in the morning session.
In the afternoon session, Chapainawabganj defeated Faridpur 29-7; Chittagong beat Patuakhali 19-11; Bandarban outclassed Sylhet 24-8; Kushtia defeated Sunamganj 27-14; and Madaripur beat Gaibandha 36-10.
