The Walton 5th National Men’s Baseball Tournament begins on January 30 at the Paltan Maidan.
Bangladesh Baseball-Softball Association will arrange the baseball meet under auspices of Walton Group.
Marking the ensuing baseball competition, a press conference was held at the conference room in the Moulana Bhashani National Hockey Stadium on Thursday.
General Secretary of Bangladesh Baseball-Softball Association Aminul Islam Liton, Operative Director (Head of Sports & Welfare Department) of Walton Group FM Iqbal Bin Anwar Dawn, Secretary of the Tournament Committee Azam Ali Khan spoke at the conference.
A total of eight teams splitting into two groups will take part in the baseball tournament.
Bangladesh Police, Pabna District Sports Association, Sirajganj District Sports Association, Dhaka District Sports Association are in Group-A, while Bangladesh Ansar, Cox’s Bazar District Sports Association, Dhaka Metropolitan Police, Narail District Sports Association are in Group-B.
Top two teams from each group will get tickets of the semi-finals. The winners of the semi-finals will face each other in the final.
The winning team of the final will be the champions.
