The National Library Day-2022 will be observed today (Saturday) in the country with the theme “Golden Jubilee’s promise, Digital Library”.
Different programmes have been chalked out to observe the day with an aim to build an educated and enlightened nation through making the people more library-oriented.
In 2017, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina declared February 5 as the National Library Day. Later, the National Library Day was first observed on February 5 2018, reports BSS.
Besides, a discussion along with a cultural programme will be held at 11am on the premises of the Public Library in the city.
The day will also be observed simultaneously at Bangla Academy, National Library, Kabi Nazrul Institute, Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, Dhaka University, Bangladesh Library Society and Private Public Library Society.
