The 37th National Junior (Under-20) Chess Championships began from Thursday at Bangladesh Chess Federation hall-room.
National Sports Council Secretary Ashok Kumar Biswas formally inaugurated the meet as chief guest. Players from Dhaka city and 27 several districts across the country are participating in the meet.
Thirty one players won their first round game and earned full points in Open section while fifteen players won their 1st round games and earned full point in girls’ section.
Both events are being held in 8 round Swiss-League system and Taka one lac cash prize will be given to the winners.
The 2nd round games start today (Friday) at3.30 pm at same venue.
