Members of Bangladesh National Football team joined their practice camp on Tuesday. The 26 footballers reported to Head Coach of Bangladesh National Football team Andrew Ord at the BFF House on the same day. Later, the coaching staff and 26 footballers went to BKSP in Savar to take part in the two-week long residential coaching camp. Rest of the nine footballers will report to the Head Coach on February 21 at BKSP. The coaching camp for the footballers has been started for the upcoming SAFF Championship scheduled to be held in September.
Marking the upcoming coaching camp, a press conference was held at the conference room in BFF House on Tuesday.
President of Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) Kazi Salahuddin, Vice-President of BFF and Chairman of Bangladesh National Football Committee Kazi Nabil Ahmed, Head Coach of Bangladesh National Football team Andrew Ord, Chairman of the Media Committee of BFF Amirul Islam Babu, Team Manager of Bangladesh National Football Committee Satyajit Das Rupu were present at the conference.
Kazi Salahuddin said, ” We have arranged all kinds of training facilities for the footballers for a positive result. Now it is the responsibility for the booters to earn a good result.”
Kazi Nabil Ahmed said, ” Bangladesh team have been taking part in the coaching camp at BKSP for two weeks. Then the team will leave the city for Qatar on February 28. They will take part at a training camp there. Then they return to Dhaka on March 14. The team will leave the capital for Thailand on March 19. There they will play two practice matches against top two clubs of Thailand on March 21 and March 23. Then Bangladesh team will leave for Laos on March 25. Bangladesh National Football team will play a FIFA Friendly match against Laos National Football team on March 27.”
Rupu said, ” After a long time Bangladesh National Football team are taking part in a full-fledged practice camp. I hope that they will bring good result for us.”
Andrew Ord said, ” We have tried to pick best footballers, who took part in the outgoing Federation Cup, Bangladesh Premier League and Independence Cup Football. The responsibilities are for the footballers to earn a good result. I shall do my job properly for the improvement of the players. I promise you that I shall do my best to achieve a good result.”
