National Film award winning art director Faruque dies

Mohiuddin Faruque, a renowned Art and film director died at his house on Friday afternoon. President of Bangladesh Film Directors Association Mushfiqur Rahman Gulzar confirmed the news.
Mohiuddin Faruque has been suffering from cold cough for sevaral days.
It is not yet certain whether he had coronary disease if he had symptoms of COVID-19 disease.
Apurbo, the organising secretary of the board of directors said, “Last (Friday) night, he had slight cough and cough. For this reason, samples have been sent to IEDCR. No reports have been received yet. Let everyone pray for the salvation of the departed soul.”
Mohiuddin Faruque was also a director and actor. He has won seven best Artist Award for 1. Bashundhara (1977), 2. Dumurer Phul (1978), 3. Pita Mata Sontan (1991), 4. Padma Nodir Majhi (1993), 5. Dukhai (1997), 6. Meghla Akash (2001) and 7. Abuj Bou (2010).
He also directed a film titled ‘Biraj Bou’ of Sharat Chandra. He left behind two sons and a daughter.
