National e-Service System (NESS) Front Desk has been inaugurated here aimed at providing different government services using electronic system.
Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith today inaugurated the NESS at the office of Sylhet Divisional Commissioner.
Sylhet City Corporation Mayor Ariful Huq Chowdhury, Divisional Commissioner Sajjadul Hasan, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police Makbul Hossain Bhuiyan, additional DIG Sakhawat Hossain, Sylhet Metropolitan Police Commissioner M Mizanur Rahman, Deputy Commissioner (DC) M Shahidul Islam and additional DC AZM Nurul Huq were present, among others, on the occasion.
NESS Front Desk will provide different kinds of services among the people including receive any letter, acknowledgement of receiving and take necessary measures regarding the letters etc. People or organisations would get acknowledgement of receiving through SMS at Mobile Phone. They could also collect print copy of it.
The government has introduced the NESS in 2010 as part of the digitisation of different services of the country.
