Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith Friday said the national development is not possible by the government alone.
“The goal of national development is not possible to achieve by the government alone in a developing country like Bangladesh,” he said this while speaking as the chief guest at a council of Rotary in the city.
Chaired by chairman of council committee Humayiun Rashid, the function was addressed, among others, by representative of Rotary International Ching Chang Tiger Kou, governor of Rotary Safina Rahman, elected governor of Rotary SAM Shawkat and nominee for rotary governor Mohammad Ayub.
The minister urged Rotarians and humanitarian organizations for supplementing the ongoing efforts for national development of the country.
He said Rotarians are conducting development works at remote areas in the country.
Representative of Rotary International Ching Chang Tiger Kou said the International Rotary is supporting Bangladesh for its development works because Rotary Bangladesh played significant role in the programme of the international rotary.
