Khulna Division post first win
BSS, Dhaka
A five-wicket hail by former national spinner Abdur Razzak steered defending champions Khulna Division to record their first victory in the tier 1 four-day 19th National Cricket League when they crushed Barisal Division by 239 runs held on Monday at the Sheikh Abu Naser Stadium in Khulna.
Barisal Division resumed their second innings on the fourth day with an overnight score at 32 for no loss to chase the massive winning target of 402 runs and finally all out for 163 in the face of devastating bowling display by the Khulna Division bowlers.
Overnight batsman Fazle Rabbi top scored 88 runs.
Apart from Abdur Razzak’s five wickets for 32 runs, Moinul Islam claimed three wickets giving away 19 runs.
Earlier, Barisal Division dismissed their first innings at 258 in reply to a Khulna Division’s massive first innings total of 444. Khulna Division declared their second innings at 216 for 7.
Mahadi Hasan of Khulna Division was named the player of the match for his impressive batting performance.

Chittagong-Rajshahi four-day match end in a draw
BSS, Dhaka
The Tier 2 game between Chittagong Division and Rajshahi Division of four-day 19th National Cricket League also ended in a draw at the Shaheed Kamruzzaman Stadium in Rajshahi on Monday.
Rajshahi Division resumed their first innings on the fourth and final day (Monday) with overnight score at 147 for 1 and finally all out for 415, in reply to a Chittagong Division’s first innings total of 432 runs with a first innings deficit of 17 runs.
Overnight batsman Juhurul Islam added only two runs with his overnight score of 77 while Zunaid Siddique (77) and Farhad Hossain (60) also hit half centuries for Rajshahi.
M Saifuddin finished with 3-91 runs.
Chittagong Division came to open their second innings in the fourth day afternoon and scored 1 for no loss at stumps.
Yasir Ali of Chittagong Division was named the player of the match.
