Barisal Division suffer batting jolt on day 2
BSS, Dhaka
Barisal Division suffered batting jolt as they scored 171 for 6 against host Khulna Division at stumps on the second day of the tier 1 four-day 19th National Cricket League held on Saturday at Sheikh Abu Naser Cricket Stadium in Khulna.
Barisal faced early batting jolt losing their first three batsmen at 13 runs in the score board and eventually slipped 91 for 6 before Rafsan Al Mahmud ( 58 n.o) and Nuruzzaman (52 n.o) stop the rot with a responsible 80 runs unbeaten seventh wicket stand.
Al Amin Hossain and Abdur Razzak shared two wickets each conceding 32 and 50 runs respectively.
Earlier, Khulna Division resumed their first innings on the second day with overnight score at 348 for 3 and finally all out for 444 courtesy of Mahadi Hasan (177) and Tushar Imran (132) magnificent centuries.
Monir Hossain finished with an impressive figure of 7-85 runs while Tanvir bagged 2-65.

Chittagong Division 67 for 2 on day 1
BSS, Dhaka
Yasir Ali’s six runs shot from his deserving hundred but Chittagong Division were in control on the second day as they piled up 419 for 8 against Rajshahi Division at stumps on the second day in the tier 2 of four-day 19th National Cricket League held on Saturday at Shaheed Kamruzzaman Stadium in Rajshah.
Yasir hit 14 boundaries and two over boundaries during his 163 balls stay on the crease, after Chittagong Division resumed their first innings on the second day with overnight score at 67 for 2.
Yasir also received an ample support from Sazzadul Islam (68 and Irfaan ukkur (65) who scored brilliant fifties to help Khulna to score a massive total.
Kazi Kamrul and Mehedi Hasan Rana were on the crease with 32 and 11 runs as the stamps were drawn for the day.
Saqlain Sajib and Nazmul Hossain shared two wickets each for Rajshahi giving away 44 and 76 runs respectively.

Sylhet, Dhaka Metro second day’s play called off
BSS, Dhaka
The second day play of tier 2 four-day match between Dhaka Metro and Sylhet Division again called off without being a ball bowl after the ground is still not ready to play due to wet outfield at Sheikh Kamal International Cricket Stadium in Cox’s Bazar.
The match officials after inspecting the ground finally called off the second day’s play at 2 pm.
Earlier, the first day’s play was also called off due to wet out field.
The same condition also happed at at Shaheed Chandu Stadium in Bogra where the match officials again called off the second day’s play between Dhaka Division and Rangpur Division of second round tier 1 match due to wet and soggy outfield.
Earlier, the entire first day’s play of the match was also called off due the same condition.
