The much awaited National Cricket Championship (NCC) 2014-15 begins today (Monday) at 12 venues across the country.
A total of 64 districts will participate in the 35th edition of the limited overs competition.
All the matches of the event this season will be played on turf wickets. Two teams from Dhaka Division and one team each from the remaining six divisions will move to the second round. The eight teams will be divided into two groups in the second round with the top two finishers in respective groups qualifying for the final.
There will be three venues in Dhaka division, two each in Rajshahi, Khulna and Chittagong and lone venues in Barisal, Sylhet and Rangpur.
