The 49th National Cooperatives Day was observed on Saturday (07 November) in Gouripur Upazila of Mymensingh disrtict in a befitting manner.
Upazila cooperatives Directorate and Upazila Administration jointly organized the program as a part of the countrywide program.
This year the theme of the day is ‘Philosophy of Bangabandhu, Development in Cooperatives’.
A discussion meeting was held at Gouripur Public Hall whereFreedom Fighter Nazim Uddin Ahmed MP was present as chief guest, Upazila Chairman Mofazzal Hossain khan, as the special guest with UNO of Gouripur, Hasan Maruf in the chair and other prominent persons including Upazilacooperative Officer FahmidaAkter Lima, Upazila AL Senor President Dr. Helal Uddin Ahmed, Ex- Deputy Comander of GouripurMuktijuddaSangsad, Abdur Rahim, Upazila AL Organizing Sectratury Abul Kalam Azad,, Upazila Vice ChairmanSohel Rana were present and addressed the audience by focusing on the cooperatives playing important roles in the socio-economic development of the country.
