Under the auspices of Computer Science and Engineering(CSE) Department of Chittagong University of Engineering & Technology ,a two daylong National Collegiate Programming Contest-2017 on national level will begin from today . This type of computer programming competiton on national level is being held in any public university in every year.
This was disclosed at a press meet arranged at Chittagong Press Club Auditorium yesterday .
This is the largest computer programming contest of the country .Later this test will be considered as qualifying in the international level ACM-ICPC and World Final competitions.
CUET NSPC Media committee Co-chairman and Asstt. Professor of CSE Department Mirmu Saki Kaiser read out the written statement before the press meet duly moderated by Assistant.
Registrar (Coordination) Fazlur Rahman. Among others, organizing secretary of CUET-NCPC Prof.Dr. Md. Shamsur Arefin, Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Khan, Assistant prof AHM Ashfaq Habib and lecturer Rahman Binte Mufiz Mukta were present in the press meet.
The press meet was told that the inaugural session of the computer programming contest will be held at central auditorium of the CUET at 3 pm and the concluding session of the competitions will be arranged at Engineers Institute, Chittagong tomorrow evening. 26 prizes among the winners of the competitions will be distributed at concluding session.
Beside the winning prize, 8 prizes reserved for 8 divisions, one for female students, 2 for school and college levels, sources said. City Mayor AJM Nasiruddin will grace the concluding session as chief guest while the of CUET Prof. Dr. Rafiqul Alam , Prof.Dr. Md. Kaikobad, President of Bangladesh computer council Mostafa Jabbar will graced it as special guests, CUET sources said.
