The 4th Walton National Baseball championship begins today at Paltan ground adjoining Bangabandhu National Stadium in the city.
Two times champions Sirajganj district along with all divisional teams and Bangladesh Police team will take part in the three-day competition sponsored by Walton. Organised by Bangladesh Baseball-Softball Association, the final of the three-day meet is slated on Saturday (January 28).
In this regards, a press conference was held on Wednesday at conference room of Bangabandhu National Stadium to give all the details of the meet.
Bangladesh Baseball-Softball Association general secretary Aminul Islam Liton, FM Iqbal Bin Anwar, head of Walton group sports and welfare division, Walton assistant general manager Mehrab Hossain Asif, tournament committee’s convener M Yahia and baseball association assistant coach Talha Jubayer were present on the occasion.
