The leaders of the National Bar Association of Bangladesh, a lawyers’ organization, have opined if a separate ministry is opened for the banking and insurance sectors, discipline might be restored there because money laundering and corruption will be gradually reduced.
They passed the opinion in a press briefing held at the office of the Law Reporters Forum, an organization of the journalists covering legal affair issues, on Monday last. Advocate Shah Khasruzzaman, President of the organization, and others were present on the occasion.
The organization also appealed to the Parliament for admitting lawyers’ demand to deposit 5 per cent of the money received through the court fee in the Benevolent Fund of the Bar Council.
