37th National Badminton Championship began on Sunday at Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Indoor Stadium in the city, said a press release.
State Minister for Youth and Sports Mohammad Zahid Ahsan Russel, MP, formally inaugurated the meet as the chief guest, organized by Bangladesh Badminton Federation (BBF).
Youth and Sports Secretary Mesbah Uddin was present as special guest in the opening ceremony.
National Sports Council secretary Porimal Singha and members of tournament managing committee were also present in the opening ceremony.
