Nasreen Zamir, founder and managing director of Nasreen Zamir And Associates, has been appointed the Honourary Consul of Luxembourg to Bangladesh.
The government of the Grand Duché of Luxembourg has given the appointment.
Nasreen Zamir, a pioneer in the field of interior design, well-known businesswoman and entrepreneur, looks forward to a strong bilateral relation, including trade and commerce, higher education and other possible areas of common interest between Luxembourg and Bangladesh.
Nasreen Zamir has recently promoted ‘Made in Bangladesh’ and
‘Designed in Bangladesh’ as a concept and reality in support of the
talented people to be proud of.
She also introduced a Furniture and Gift E-Commerce site in
Bangladesh. Her company promotes the Heritage Art of Bengal by
providing a portion of her business profits in support of local
artisans and homegrown craftsmen.
Nasreen Zamir is the wife of Muhammad Zamir, former Ambassador and
Chief Information Commissioner, and daughter of Muhammad Delwar
Hossain, a recipient of the prestigious Ekushey Padak, and of late
Akhter Jahan of Chittagong.
