In a fresh incident of arson attack, miscreants torched the cowshed of Nasirnagar upazila vice-chairman Anjan Kummar Dey in the upazila headquarters on Wednesday evening.
Anjan told UNB that a group of miscreants set fire to the cowshed of his house around 6:30 pm when he was away from home. Noticing the leaping flame, neighbours rushed in and doused it, he said.
However, there were no cattle in the cowshed during the arson attack and no one was also injured in the incident either. On information, upazila parishad chairman ATM Moniruzzaman Sarkar, Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) M Liakat Ali and officer-in-charge of Nasirnagar Police Station M Abu Jafar visited the spot.
