Bangladesh national cricket team spin all-rounder Nasir Hossain was likely to stay out of ground for the next six months due to his knee injury.
“There is no alternative of surgery as his right knee ligament was wounded,” said Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) physician Dr Debashish Chowdhury on Tuesday.
“Scan report shows that his [Nasir] right knee ligament has torn. He will undergo a surgery and is likely to be out of cricket for at least six months”, Chowdhury said.
Nasir suffered injury in his right knee during a practice session in Mirpur, said the 26-year-old all-rounder on Monday.
