The condition of Awami League presidium member and former health minister Mohammed Nasim has remained unchanged.
He has been kept in a 72-hour close observation in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Bangladesh Specialised Hospital at Shyamoli in the capita.
Nasim’s son Tanvir Shakil Joy on Monday said his father is still being given ventilator support and his condition has remained unchanged.
A 13-member medical board was formed on Sunday after his condition deteriorated while he was under intensive care in the ICU. Nasim was admitted to Bangladesh Specialized Hospital on June 1 with blood pressure problem.
Later, he was diagnosed with coronavirus on that day.
The condition of the ruling party leader deteriorated after he suffered a stroke early Friday. However, he underwent a successful surgery the same day
