Health Minister and Presidium Member of Awami League (AL) Mohammad Nasim yesterday called upon BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia to ask for apology to the nation for killing innocent people and withdraw the ongoing illogical hartal-blockade.
“If the hartal and blockade will continue, your (Khaleda Zia) party will face the same fate of Muslim League,” he said while addressing a discussion as the chief guest marking the 95th birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Sheikh Russell Jatiya Shishu-Kishore Parishad organized the discussion at Jatiya Press Club with its secretary general Mahmud-Us-Samad Chowdhury in the chair.
Among others, former joint general secretary Mozaffar Hossain Paltu, Sirajul Islam Molla, MP, and health affairs secretary of Dhaka City Awami League Dr Dilip Roy, spoke on the occasion.
“Nowadays Hartal is becoming a matter of joke. Everything becomes quite normal now because people have started working by risking their lives as they are not supporting the strike meant for saving Khaleda Zia and her family inmates from corruption charges and thwart the trial against war criminals,” Nasim opined.
“The birthday of Bangabandhu is also the birthday of the Bangalee as well as Bangladesh,” he said, asking the new generation to be imbued with the ideology of Father of the Nation.
