Senior Research Scientist of National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) of USA Dr. James H. Crawford on Thursday called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman.
During the meeting at the Vice Chancellor’s office, they discussed the possibilities of undertaking joint collaborative academic and research programmes on environment and air pollution by the University of Dhaka and National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), USA.
They stressed the need for making our environment clean and tidy for the betterment of human health. They have agreed to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for strengthening joint collaborative academic and research programmes between the two institutions.
Iverson Long, the Environment, Science, Technology and Health Officer of the Embassy of USA in Dhaka and Professor of the Department of Chemistry of
DU Dr. Abdus Salam were present on this occasion.

lecture on “Developing Future Air Quality Observing Strategies” at the
Department of Chemistry of DU.
