A teenage boy who was injured during a clash between two groups of youths over a cricket match at Sahepratab in the suburb of the district town on Sunday died on Tuesday.
The deceased was identified as Mehedi Hasan, 16, son of Sultan Uddin of Baghata village in Sadar upazila.
Locals said an argument occurred between two groups of youths over a cricket match on Sunday.
At one stage, a clash broke out between them which left at least eight people, including Mehedi, injured.
Of the injured, Mehedi was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where he succumbed to his injuries around 8 am on that day.
