Narsingdi Superintendent of Police, Proloy Kumar Joarder BPM (Bar) PPM, has set a example in the country. During the coronavirus pandemic lockdown, he and his team
under his leadership had provided and distributed relief goods among the poor people of the low-income and poor families due to the pandemic situation in the country.
He imposed proper lockdown in his area by making people stay in their houses during quarantine, interrupting unnecessary movements, making aware about the virus using loudspeakers and mikes by maintaining health safety guidelines as per the government rules to control the movement of the people. He and his team ensured wearing facemasks, using sanitizers for hand washing, made people aware of the lethal coronavirus by distributing leaflets. Disinfectant tunnels were set in the police super office to deal with viruses.
He conducted operations in his duty areas to seize narcotics, and drugs. He seized and rescued many yaba tablets, hemps, Phensidyl, domestic and foreign wines during the raid in his area. He also maintained law and order situation in his area strictly. Proloy Kumar Joarder ensured social distance during lockdown. People who died with corona symptoms, he ensured proper arrangements for cremation and burial.
SP Proloy Joarder said, “The main task of police is to ensure the safety of people and to maintain law and order. We are now working day and night on the COVID-19 pandemic.”
Middle and lower middle class families, orphans, disabled and floating people were provided with foods and other necessary items when they rang in the hotlines. Free mobile medical team of police consists with ambulance and experienced doctors are providing medical services from Narsingdi’s area to area. Proloy Kumar Joarder helps people in trouble. He used to arrange iftar during Ramadan for the poor.
