To save people from wrath of many deadly diseases and for supply safe and adulteration free fish from the local fish markets, Chairman of Narsingdi Sadar Upazila Parishad Monzur Elahi declared all the wholesale fish market ,fish landing center and others fish markets in Sadar upazila as formalin free markets.
Addressing in the monthly upazila co-ordination meeting on 3rd September the Chairman expressed grave concern on the harmful impacts of formalin mixed fish.He said hundreds of people including children are embracing deaths and many others suffering from various chronic diseases after taking formalin mixed poisonous fish. He said formalin fish market must be built at any cost . In this he sought cooperation from community leaders to check the market free from formalin.
Vice Chairman of Sadar upazila parishad Kabir Ahmed, Upazila Nibahi officer of Sadar upazila (Acting)Mohammad Ashraful Afsar, Senior fishery officer of Sadar upazila Tajmohal Begum and all the union parishad chairmen of Sadar upazila parishad were present in the meeting.
