A local leader of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) was chopped and shot to death in Shibpur upazila on Tuesday afternoon.
The deceased was identified as Shahin Quadir Mahin, 27, organising secretary of district BCL and son of Abdul Quadir of Ghoradia on the suburb of the district town.
Witnesses said a gang of miscreants swooped on Mahin, also a Master’s student of Narsingdi Govt College, at Kutia Bazar around 5pm while he was gossiping with others.
