Narail district team of Khulna Division emerged champions in the Inter-Divisional Women’s Kabaddi competition beating Jamalpur district team of Mymensingh Division by 25-14 points in the final held on Saturday at Sultana Kamal Women’s Sports Complex in the city’s Dhanmondi.
National Sports Council director (sports) Dil Mohammad (Joint Secretary) was the chief guest in the final and distributed the prizes among the winners.
Bangladesh Women’s Sports Association’s (BWSA) president Mahbub Ara Gini MP presided over the closing ceremony.
BWSA general secretary Hamida Begum, Kabadi sub committee’s convener Firza Karim Neli, were among others, present o the occasion.
The champions and runners-up teams from eight divisions across the country took part in the two-day meet.
