Narail district team won the gold medal in the Women’s Hockey Competition of the Bangabandhu 9th Bangladesh Games beating Jhenaidah district team by a solitary goal in the final at the Maulana Bhashani National Hockey Stadium on Friday. In the day’s final, Nomina Karmakar scored the all-important goal for Narail in the 18th minute of the match. Jhenaidah however tried to stage a fight back at the end of the match creating some chances but Narail’s custodian Kajal Biswas foiled all the attempts brilliantly.
