While inaugurating a mango fair in Dhaka on Friday, Food Minister Sadhan Chandra Majumder said Naogaon’s mango is becoming more and more popular in both home and abroad, so this reputation must be maintained.
The three-day mango fair titled “Aam Mela – 2022”, organised by Naogaon District Association, Dhaka is being held at Krishibid Institute, read a press release. The fair will be open to the public every day from 10:00am to 8:00pm.
Speaking as the chief guest on the occasion, Sadhan Chandra Majumder said that Bangladesh has now achieved success in fruit production. Mango production has increased a lot especially in the Barind region. Therefore, a plan has been taken to brand mangoes produced in Naogaon.
The minister added that Naogaon is now producing surplus quantities of mangoes. The mangoes of this district are also going abroad. The popularity of Naogaon mango is increasing in the domestic and foreign markets. This reputation must be maintained.
