National Film Award winning popular singer Nazmun Munira Nancy lost her
mother nine years ago. On August 10 of last year, she lost her father Naimul Haque. It is mentioned that to render any patriotic or father/mother related song, Nancy does not take any remuneration. After informing the matter, many persons contacted with the singer in this regard. In that case, only want of Nancy was lyrics must be good and tunes should be heart-touching and mind blowing. Nancy rendered the song with her mother. This time for the first time, she rendered a song with father. Title of the song is Baba Tomai Mone Pore, which will be released by CD Choice on the occasion of Father’s Day on June 20. Nancy informed Ahmed Rizvi wrote lyrics of the song while Kishore Das composed its music. Recording of the song was done on June 13 and shooting of its music video, directed by Saikat Reza, was completed on June 15. While talking about the song Nancy said, “One day Kishore sent me the song and requested me to render it which lyrics are based on father. During that time it was 10:00pm. As few days ago, I lost my father, so I could not dare to hear the song at night. I could not take pressure to hear the song in the morning also. I was really feared because if I get any similarity of my life with any line or sentence of the song, then I would get pain, also cry. Later, after waking up from bed in the morning
I heard the song. Overall, it was a nice song. Every children has a memorable song revolves with hisher father.
I believe everybody will like my new song. After a long time, I did a work with Sohel Bhai. As usual, I did not take any remuneration from the song.” Nancy has already
lent her voice for a song titled Banshi Aar Dakish Na, which lyrics were written by Anupam Biswas and tunes were composed by Ehsan Rahi. In 2016, Nancy lastly lent her voice for a play-back song for Shakib Khan’s a movie. After five years, she again rendered a play-back song titled Rakhi Jotne Saradin for Shakib’s movie Antoratma.
