Abul Khayer, Officer- In- Charge (Investigation) of Nalcity police station under Jhalakathi district on Wednesday ordered to be closed at Barisal police line for his negligence in duty to prevent arson attack on a passenger bus on early Wednesday.
Majid Ali, Jhalakathi district police superintendent, acknowledging the fact of closing Abul Khayer to Barisal police line, but denied to disclose any cause for that action. A case was lodged in this connection with Jhalakathi police station without mentioning any name of accused on Wednesday noon and till this report none was arrested in this connection.
Sources said Humayun Kabir, deputy inspector general of police, with high official of police, visited the spot on Wednesday morning.
He expressing his agitation said that recently four incidents of political violence happened in Jhalakathi district and all of those were under jurisdiction of Nalcity police station.
