UNB, Sherpur :
Police recovered the hanging body of Nakla Upazila chairman from his residence at Kursha in Nakla Upazila headquarters here on Friday.
The deceased was identified as Mahbub Ali alias Manir, 65, a former joint convener of district unit BNP.
Informed by locals, police recovered Manir’s body, hanging from the ceiling fan of his house around 8 am, said Khan Abdul Halim, officer-in-charge of Nakla Police Station. Police suspected that Manir might have committed suicide. Manir used to live at the house with his second wife, the OC added.
