Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid on Thursday visited Shahin Ahmed, a leader of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) who is now undergoing treatment at the National Institute of Traumatology and Orthopaedic Rehabilitaion (NITOR) in the city, said an official release. The BCL leader Shahin was severely injured in an attack by some unruly Shibir men in Sylhet on Monday.
The Minister, during the visit, talked to doctors and inquired about Shahin’s treatment and health conditions, the release added.
Nahid also spoke with Shahin’s parents and relatives and assured them of better treatment of the BCL leader.
Condemning the heinous attack on BCL leader, the minister urged the authorities concerned to take stern actions against the attackers as soon as possible.
