Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid on Monday urged all quarters in the country to contribute in building an educated society.
“This is our beloved country. Our duty is to work more to develop the country for next generation. We should work with much concentration from our own stance wherever we stay in the society,” Nurul Islam Nahid said.
The minister said this at a closing ceremony of the UNESCO Participation Programme 2014-15 at
Bangladesh Bureau of Educational Information and Statistics (BANBEIS) Bhaban organized by Bangladesh National Commission for UNESCO (BNCU).
BNCU Secretary Md Monjur Hossain presided over the programme, while Education Secretary Sohrab Hossain was present as the special guest.
The Education Minister also called all to promote education, culture, science and humanity for removing enmity, rivalry and terrorism from the society to build a peaceful country.
He said, the Ministry has been trying to establish cordial and friendly relations among the peoples of the world through UNESCO Participation Programme.
