Prime Doleshwar Sporting Club managed a nail-biting one-run victory over Kalabagan Krira Chakra in the fifth round match of Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League held on Saturday at Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium in Fatullah.
Chasing a 203 runs winning target set by Doleshwar, Kalabagan fell short as they were all out for 201 in 49.2 overs, despite a brilliant knock of 89 runs by opener Tasamul Haque.
Tasamul hit six boundaries and two over boundaries during his 126-ball stay on the crease.
Farhad Reza and Sharifullah shared three wickets conceding 32 and 36 runs respectively while Arafat Sunny bagged two wickets giving away 39 runs.
Earlier, Invited to bat first by Kalabagan, Doleshwar scored a decent total of 202 for 9 from their allotted 50 overs.
National discard Shahriar Nafees top scored with 39 runs followed by Jaker Ali (38 n.o) and Marshall Ayub (31).
Sanjit aha was the most successful bowler for Doleshwar as he grabbed four wickets for 28 runs. He was well supported by Mohammad Ashraful who bagged two wickets giving away 34 runs.
Nahid Hasan of Kalabagan was named the player of the match.
