Nahid renews warnings over question paper leakage

Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid reiterated warnings against question paper leakage and other unfair practices related to public examinations.
If anyone dares to leak question or be involved in any unhealthy practice, the person must face severe punishment, he told a meeting of national monitoring committee on question paper printing, distribution, secrecy and security in the conference room of BG Press here.
“Some dishonest teachers are blackening professional dignity through involving the destructive practices of leaking question papers. They will certainly face trial for their misdeeds,” the minister issuing a note of warning against question paper leakage or malpractices related to public examinations, he said adding, “You will be caught by law enforcers and authorities concerned as they have kept their sharp vigilance from printing to distribution process.”
A section of quarter spread propaganda over question paper leakage using mobile phone, internet and social media to undermine the achievements of the government in the education sector, Nahid added.
“I urge examinees and guardians to remain alert to such propaganda…. We have taken adequate measures to check question paper leakage and any unhealthy practices,” he added.
The meeting was held aiming to hold upcoming Junior School Certificate (JSC) and Dakhil Certificate Examinations in a peace atmosphere. The JSC and JDC examinations are scheduled to begin November 1 simultaneously across the country.
Education Secretary Md Nazrul Islam Khan, Director General of Directorate of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Prof Fahima Khatun, officials of the educations ministry and agencies and organizations, among others, attended the meeting.
