Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid on Friday mourned the death of Maulana Abdul Jabbar Jahanabadi, Secretary General of the Bangladesh Qawmi Madrasa Education Board (Befaq), who died at a city hospital.
In a message of condolence, he expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of Jabbar.
“Maulana Jabbar was a pioneer of the country’s madrasa education. People will remember him for long,” he added.
The minister also prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed sympathy to the bereaved family.
