Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid is taking part in the 2nd World Congress on Open Educational Resources (OER) Conference in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
With the title “OER for Inclusive and Equitable Quality Education,” the conference began on Monday.
United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) and Education, Science and Sports Ministry of Slovenia have arranged the two-day long conference.
On the first day of the conference, Nahid joined a minister-level panel discussion on “Importance of OER to Achieve SDG-4 in National Perspective”.
Ministers of Slovenia, Costa Rica, Mauritius, South Africa, Malta, Macedonia, Hawaii and Bulgaria attended the discussion.
Nahid put forward different aspects and limitations of using open educational resources in Bangladesh.
The minister is expected to return home on Thursday.
