Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid on Monday joined the Janaza of Prof Tawfiq Siddique, head of Bangla Department of Government Azizul Haque College in Bogra, who drowned in a waterfall in Bandarban.
Held at the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education, the Janaza was also attended, among others, by Education Secretary Md Sohrab Hossain, officials and employees of the directorate.
After the Janaza, the minister paid tributes to Prof Siddique by placing floral wreaths on his coffin.
Prof Siddique disappeared on Saturday while having bath in the waterfalls at Ruma in the hilly district of Bandarban. His body was found on Sunday morning.
