Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid on Sunday expressed deep shock at the death of eminent historian and National Professor Dr Salauddin Ahmed.
In a condolence message, Nahid prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed sympathy to the bereaved family members.
Earlier, the education minister visited the residence of Professor Salahuddin Ahmed at Banani in the city on Sunday morning.
He stayed there for some time and consoled the family members of the deceased.
