Nagorik Oikya, one of the partners of Jatiya Oikyafront, on Friday blamed the government for its negligence in preventing dengue fever and rape incidents, and reducing sufferings of flood affected people.
“All districts are under grip of dengue and the death toll reaches 61 so far but the Health Minister and two Mayors of Dhaka North and South City Corporations are deceiving people without taking any effective measure to repel mosquitos”
Mahmudur Rahman Manna, Convener of Nagorik Oikya, said it while speaking at a press conference in the capital’s Jatiya Press Club on Friday.
Mahmudur Rahman Manna claimed that the drugs being used in mosquito killing were not effective at all.
“Ineffective drug has been brought for the benefit of a company only ignoring warning and advice he said.
The authorities concerned are yet to import effective drugs in this regard, he added.
