Nadif Chowdhury struck a superb 166 as Dhaka Division marched on to 484 for 7 in their first innings at close on the second day against Khulna Division in the four-day 19th National Cricket League held on Saturday at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, Chittagong.
Resuming at overnight total of 132 for 4 in 39 overs (rain affected), Dhaka batsmen staged a superb fight back in the middle of the innings as Nadif Chowdhury coming at number 7 played a gem of an inning as he scored incredible 166 studded with 17 boundaries and six eye catching sixes.
Tabibur Rahman supported him with defiant 79 laced with seven boundaries. Shuvgata Hom chipped in with a stylish 66 but it was number nine batsman Mosharraf Hossain, who with a gritty unbeaten 98 studded with nine boundaries made sure Dhaka total reaching almost 500-mark.
Mahedi Hasan with 3 for 101 was the most successful Khulna bowler.
