Talented director Al Hazen is going to present Arfan Ahmed and Sallha
Khanom Nadia in new way on the
screen. Al Hazen got popularity to make
drama serials Mehman, Prem Chokkor, Chhayachhobi, Alaspur, Shiyal Pondit, Dui Takar Bahaduri, Hoolsthool, Chander Gari. This time the director has made a web series titled Munna+Nurjahan casting Arfan and Nadia. Director Al Hazen informed that the web series has been made with big budget where actors acted using language of Old Dhaka. While talking about making the web series Al Hazen said, “As Arfan earlier acted in Old Dhaka’s language based drama Arman Bhai, so he co-operated us a lot while taking part in the
shooting of this web series. I took huge challenge to play the role Munna by Arfan. It was also challenge for me to cast Sallha Khanom Nadia to play the role Nurjahan.
I believe viewers will enjoy the web series.” Actor Arfan Ahmed said, “After a long time, I took part in shooting in Old Dhaka. Before shooting I hoped we might face a lot of sufferings but local people
co-operated us a lot during shooting. Besides heritage of Old Dhaka and local club based activities, love and affair will be presented in the story of this web series.”
Besides Arfan and Nadia, Shilpi Sarkar Apu, Saika Ahmed, Shelly Ahsan, among others, also acted in other roles in the web series. Old Dhaka’s traditional Shakrain
festival will be also presented in the story of the web series. I give thanks to Sushmoy Sumon to write such a nice story for the web series. His story thinking is also nice, director Al Hazen also said.
Actress Sallha Khanom Nadia shared her feelings by this way, “Earlier, I had experience to work under Al Hazen Bhai’s direction in drama serial. I played the role of Nurjahan in this web series. I am optimistic about my role. I was very much cordial during shooting and gave huge effort to make the role successful. Earlier, I acted in dramas which stories were based on Old Dhaka’s language. But story of the web series is different from others. I hope viewers will enjoy the web series.”
