Today is Srabon 22. To mark the death anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore, BTV will telecast a special drama titled Uddhar tonight. Ekushey Award winner noted actor and director Abul Hayat gave direction of the play which script was also written by him.
In the play, Ahsan Habib Nasim played the role of a lawyer who said that lawyer Poresh not only loves his wife Gouri but also wary about her. His doubt is being increased day by day. But his wife did not accept it positively. Once the lawyer died and his wife committed suicide. By this way story of the play ends.
While talking about acting in the play Nasim said, “Abul Hayat is not only a legendary actor but also a noted director. He came out from the conventional way of making Tagore’s story based play. He has tried his level best to portray the story as believable to us. We also worked cordially. I believe viewers will enjoy the drama.”
Nadia Ahmed said, “Every actor has dream to work in Rabindranath Tagore’s story based works. Earlier, I worked in this type of story based plays. But I had intention to work in better challenging roles. While working in Tagore’s story based works I find myself. Hayat Uncle tried his level best while giving direction. As a result, actors acted well. I really enjoyed working with Nasim Bhai in this play. I believe viewers will enjoy our acting on the screen.”
It is noted that Azad Abul Kalam also acted in an important role in the play. Meanwhile, in the last election of Actors’ Unity, Ahsan Habib Nasim again elected as General Secretary. He has already finished shooting of Musafir Roni’s Eid drama titled Short-time Lover. Affri Selina was his co-actress in the play.
Nadia also informed that she also acted in Anjan Aich’s special play titled Muktir Upai on the occasion of death anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore.
