Though she has been engaged with acting most of the time popular TV actress and model Nadia Ahmed never stopped dancing. For this reason, besides acting, she had to be engaged with dancing in different cultural programmes in and outside Dhaka.
As a part of its continuation, Nadia will perform dance in a programme which is scheduled to be held at Takshal in Gazipur on January 2. Nadia’s dance troupe Nrittokotha and Likhon will also perform in the programme.
Nadia informed that rest two days of this year she will not take part in shooting of any play or serial. From first week of New Year she will take part in shooting of ongoing serials.
These are: Sokal Ahmed’s Ekti Babui Pakhir Basha, Anjan Aich’s Megh-er Porey Megh Jomechhey, Farid’s Pagla Hawar Din and SA Haque Alik’s Ayna Ghor. Kazi Shahedul Islam, Anjan Aich, Shuvashish Sinha and Masum Aziz wrote stories of these serials respectively.
While sharing her feelings about new serials Nadia told this correspondent, “Acting and dance – both is my favourite works. These are closely attached with me each other. But I have passion and love to dance. At first, I am a dancer, then actress. I am grateful to them who have taken me in their works. I always try to express my role properly. Viewers will watch me in new ways in these serials.”
Therefore, recently Nadia worked with Zahid Hasan in a play which story is based on regional language of Barisal. By this play after a break of one year she worked with Zahid Hasan.
Meanwhile, after 14 years she performed dance at own school premises, Viqarunnisa Noon School and College recently, she said.
