The two and a half years old daughter of Nabila Farhin, one of the cabin crew killed in a tragic plane crash in Nepal has been taken under the custody of Uttara West Police Station in Dhaka.
Inaya Imam Hiya, the daughter of Nabila Farhin, a crew of US-Bangla Airlines that crashed in Kathmandu’s Tribhuvan International Airport on Monday, was reportedly taken away from their Dhaka residence by home maid on hearing the news of the plane crash, said Sub-Inspector Arifuzzaman of the police station.
“We have the kid in our custody,” he said adding, the little girl will be handed over to her family.
Rajkumer Chhetri, General Manager of Tribhuvan International Airport, on Tuesday told media that all four cabin crew members including Nabila, pilot Abid Sultan and co-pilot Prithula died in the plane crash.
Inaya’s grandmother Fatema Hossain told that she rushed to Nabila’s residence being informed of the plane crash and found her residence locked from outside.
After failing to know the whereabouts of the child, she filed a missing diary with Uttara West Police Station.
Later, police informed her that they had found the kid, but could not elucidate how the kid was found, Fatema said.
Hiya’s Uncle Bablu has gone to Nepal to receive Nabila’s body. Her father Anan Ahmed lives abroad.
