Double Mooring thana police in Chittagong recovered a hanging body of Mahua Roy(28) from Agrabad Panwalapara on Monday .
Mahua with her husband was residing in 3rd floor of Salma Mansion of Panwalapara in city. Husband of the deceased and his family members termed it as suicide but the parents of the deceased filed a murder case accusing six persons including husband and his two brothers. Police in the meantime, rounded up 3 accused of the murder case.
The detained are husband of Mahua Indrajit, elder brother Bishwaajit and younger brother Pranya Jit.
Deceased family sources said after marriage of Mahua , husband and his family members constantly pressed her for bringing dowry from father’s house. Mahua also tortured mentally and physically for not presenting furniture, fixtures etc at the time of marriage.
Husband sources said he and his two brothers went from residence at 10 am on Monday and after return from outside found that the main door of the residence is closed from inner side.
After breaking the door , they found Mahua was hanging on ceiling fan. They immediately informed the police and the police recovered the body and s ent to hospital for autopsy, sources said.
