One decade ago, National Film Award winner actress Zakia Bari Mamo acted in Kazi Nazrul Islam’s special play titled Ghumer Ghorey under direction of Nahid Ahmed Pial.
After 10 years, Mamo is going to work under Pial’s direction in a play titled Se Ek Rohossomoyee.
Based on adaptation of a foreign story, director Pial himself has written script of the play. According to him, shooting of the play will start tomorrow at Singair in Manikganj.
While talking about taking Mamo in his play director Pial said, “Mamo acts well. Earlier she acted under my direction in play Ghumer Ghorey, which was telecasted on Desh TV. After airing first time, this play was also telecasted several times later. In new play, I will work with Mamo. I believe it will become a nice work. Rawnak Hasan will act against Mamo in the play. Therefore, Harun-ur-Rashid, Polli, among others, will also work.”
Mamo shared her feelings in this regard by this way, “Ghumer Ghorey was my acted one of the mentionable works. Pial Bhai is a talented director, so after getting offer I couldn’t disagree to work in the play. As I have to work in central role in the play, so I have taken necessary preparation in this regard. I also believe it will become a nice work.”
Mamo also informed that last week she finished shooting of Asaduzzaman Asad’s play titled Brishti Dhara where Apurba was her co-actor. However, Mamo’s acting was appreciated against Jovan in Sardar Rokon’s play titled Katan Saree. Mamo and Niloy-starrer play Vacancy was aired in a TV channel recently.
