A young woman named Sathi Akhter (20) has mysteriously died at Bhabki village in Melandha upazilla under the Jamalpur district. However, relatives said that she committed suicide by wrapping a scarf around his neck with the ceiling fan of her house. The incident took place around 7:30 am on Saturday. She was the daughter of one Akhter Shafiqul Islam. About a year ago, she married Abdullah Babur, (25), a mason from the neighboring village of Togarchar.
Sathy Akhtar’s husband Abdullah Babu and neighbors said that Sathy passed SSC last year. She came to the patriarchy from her husband’s house a few days ago. In the morning, when the people of Shashur’s house got the news of the illness on their mobile phones, they saw that the body of the companion was lying on the ground.
The girl’s father Shafiqul Islam and his relatives could not say anything about the reason for the suicide.
The body was sent to the morgue after the rescue, said SI Zahidul Islam. The cause of death will be known after the postmortem report. An investigation is underway on the suicide case.
