A five-wicket haul by Shohag Gazi followed by Mayshukur Rahman’s match-winning knocks enabled Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club Limited to post an emphatic six-wicket victory over all losers Old DOHS Sports Club in their 10th round match of Walton Refrigerator Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League held on Wednesday at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium at Mirpur.
The match was curtailed 45 overs per-a-side due to heavry fog in the morning. Forced to bat first by Jamal, Old DOHS managed to score 155 for 9 from their allotted 45 overs.
In reply, Sheikh Jamal hardly had to face trouble as they reached home making 158 runs in 42.2 overs with six wickets in hand.
Myshukur Rahman of Sheikh Jamal was given the player of the match award.
